What is an Electric Brake Controller & do I need one.
If you tow a caravan, camper or trailer that weighs over 749kg you are required to have an electric brake controller to operate power assisted brakes on your trailer.
Most trailers and caravans are fitted with electric drum brakes, which are cost effective and efficent, most boat trialers are fitted with either override or hyrualic assited disc brakes to overcome the issues of dunking the brakes in the water.
